What the role is
As a Head (Sensemaking Platform) in HTX, you are responsible to lead in the planning, roadmap development, and delivery of next generation enterprise sensemaking platform capabilities. This covers end-to-end implementation and sustenance of the systems and applications from eliciting business requirements, defining and delivering suitable solutions and ensuring their continued operations.

What you will be working on
The job-holder will collaborate with various teams (within HTX and across Home Teams) and is responsible to:
The job-holder will be expected to have supervisory duties as well, in managing a small team to deliver the above tasks. The job-holder will be required to manage and supervise areas such as staff training, competency management and 360 feedback.
This is a mid-level management position.
- Develop enterprise sensemaking platform development roadmap.
- Lead the design of enterprise platform to meet functional, performance, availability, security, and maintainability requirements.
- Keep abreast of technological advances in Video Surveillance, Video Analytics, Big Data Technologies, database designs & architecture and government policies & recommendations, etc.
- Manage and execute the procurement of the system/platform in a timely manner.
- Evaluate and recommend the solution that best address the needs.
- Manage the vendors to develop and deliver the solution.
- Identify, manage project risks and implications to the project and to recommend mitigating measures.
- Manage contractual and payment matters affecting the projects and ensure that systems are operating according to service level agreements.
- Understand the various prevailing policies and security guidelines and to ensure the system and processes are designed to comply with these policies and guidelines.

What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position.
- Strong interest in technologies and innovation, particularly in sensor and data management platforms.
- Good analytical, interpersonal, communications and facilitation skills.
- Competent, self-motivated, pro-active, dedicated and responsible self-starter.
All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
